ABOUT US
Busy Bird Internet Services is an independent business owned by Nick Bird.  He opened his first computer store in 1994 at which time he also built his first web site.  By 1998 he had written the UK's first low-cost multi-vendor electronic commerce system which was successfully franchised around the country before the business was taken over in 2000.

In January 2000, he setup his own Internet business which operated successfully until 2003 with clients such as UK Matrix and The Royal Mail Group.  He emigrated to Lanzarote in June 2003 leaving his network in place and customers in the UK continuing to make use of his services.

In January 2005 in association with his business partners a new company was formed and he opened the only English owned and operated computer store on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.  The store is still trading with ongoing support and technical advice continuing to be provided by him.  He visits the store regularly to deliver his expertise to customers face to face.

One of the core strengths of his latest service offering is that it provides a standard platform for web sites enabling us to deliver very rapid development at highly competitive prices with an upgrade path available.  This gives businesses a chance to get online, grow their business and then upgrade as the web site begins to return on the investment.  We serve a lot of property related customers with our high end database solutions and, for obvious reasons, many bars and restaurants make use of our services.

Nick met his partner Julie in August 2005 (when she visited Lanzarote on holiday) and by October 2006 she had moved to the island.  By February 2007 a baby was on the way and they decided to move back to the UK and create a UK based business based on the power of the network already in place.

They moved back to the UK in August 2007 with the following objectives:

bullet Build a new business supplying internet services based on the power and proven reliability of a proven network platform.
bullet Provide support for the growing network of Authorised Resellers in Europe and develop this side of their business in the UK.
bullet Develop our own products and services for sale in the UK and Europe.

The Busy Bird Group started trading in February 2008 and this web site and others to be launched in the next few weeks are the first stage in our objective to deliver the same standard of quality, value and professionalism that have seen such explosive growth in the Canary Islands and which are now expanding across the European Union.

After working in shorts and sandals for the last five years, Nick has pressed his tie and dusted off the shoes and is ready to GET BUSY.  But don't be surprised if he turns up to see you in jeans and a t-shirt as old habits die hard!

Please contact us for more information about our products, services, and network.
